What is Google Play Protect

As its name Google Play Protect suggests Protection. Google has launched this project to secure google apps and it's users across the globe. Because there are so many apps on the Internet that can cause your Android devices and some of the devices available in the market are not genuine especially Chinese mobiles that had not any Google license and have any device security because they are not legal devices. Google Play Protect helps you keep your device safe and secure. It runs a safety check on apps from the Google Play Store before you download them. It checks your device for potentially harmful apps from other sources. These harmful apps are sometimes called malware.

How to check your Play Protect Certification status:-
1.Open the Google Play Store app.
2.>>Go to the Settings
3.Under "Play Protect Certification" you will see if your devices play protect certified or not.

How it works
It checks the apps that you install from the play store. Also, it regularly checks your Installed Apps. If it found any harmful apps on your mobile it will send a notification to you to uninstalling the app which is scanned by play protect.

How to enable Google Play Protect
By default, it is on but you can disable or enable it. For your app security, it is recommended to always turn it on.

What happens if your device is not under Play Protect Certified

The first important thing is if your device is not underplayed protect certification, Google doesn't have a record of the Android Compatibility testing results.

These devices may not be real google apps as other legal devices have.
